Our story begins in the winter of 2011 with former musicians and company founders Pete Angevine, Martin Brown, and Jeffrey Ziga. They conceived the idea of an Ice Cream company as the nexus between their past creative lives and their future.
"Unique flavors we wanted to eat and a unique experience for the people we served."
They scooped their homemade Ice Cream from "The Flavor Blaster One", a customized tricycle, a mobile fun zone, joy on three wheels. They played their Music For Ice Cream. "Step on up to the Ice Cream Shop." Yes, we can ride it. Yes, we rode it here. Yes, it's heavy. Yes, we love what we do.
In the spring of 2012, they built three additional tricycles, named “Gold”, “Silver” and “Black” and began extended service throughout the greater Philadelphia at concerts, festivals, farmers’ markets, movies, birthday parties, weddings, office parties, and more.
In the early summer of 2012, they began distributing their Ice Cream in pint containers to select retails in the Philadelphia region.
In the late summer of 2012 on Friday, August 3rd they opened up their first shop called “World Headquarters” located in the East Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia at 2311 Frankford Avenue.
In the spring of 2013, on Saturday, April 20th, they opened up their second shop, called “Cedar Park Embassy” located in the Cedar Park neighborhood of West Philadelphia, at 4903 Catharine Street.
Today, we continue to scoop throughout the great City of Philadelphia and we continue our mobile operations throughout the streets of Philadelphia and beyond. Our catering and events staff is happy to travel as far as the customer is willing to bring us. Our pints are available in a growing number of fine food retailers.
Little Baby's recognizes Ice Cream as a universal catalyst for joyful diversion to rally a stoked local community. We are happy to connect with the rich Ice Cream history in Philadelphia and link it with our unique vision for the future.
Be Easy! Stay Cold.
Community is important to us, we wouldn't be who we are without a little help from our friends. Here are some of them.
