Rabbit Rabbit is the song-spinning duo of Carla Kihlstedt and Matthias Bossi. Collectively, this husband and wife team are founding members of the iconic bands Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Tin Hat, 2 Foot Yard, Causing a Tiger, The Book of Knots, and Fred Frith’s Cosa Brava, and have played with Tom Waits, Skeleton Key, Madeleine Peyroux, Tracy Chapman, John Vanderslice, St. Vincent, Carla Bozulich, Pretty Lights and The Tiger Lillies. Between them they have written music for the International Contemporary Ensemble, The Bang On a Can All-stars, The ROVA Saxophone Quartet, InkBoat, The Joe Goode Performance Group and Team Meat. But Rabbit Rabbit dares to peel back these influences, revealing an intimate and dramatic music that is all their own. Drawing on their mutual love of art song, folk song, industrial music, improvised music and heart-wrenching balladry, and rendered on a motley assortment of acoustic instruments, their songs are raw and beautiful, sparse and rich, lighthearted and full of pathos. In keeping with their fiercely independent nature, in February, 2012, they launched Rabbit Rabbit Radio (www.rabbitrabbitradio.com) as a way to connect with their listeners in a more meaningful way in this post-label world. On the first day of every month they release a new Rabbit Rabbit song to their subscribers along with a video, photos, and other relevant insights.
Matthias also provided the voice of our extremely popular videos “This is a Special Time” and “Love Lickers“. Here his voice!

Lattimore/Zeigler Duo
Jeff Zeigler is a Philadelphia-based musician, engineer and producer, who, in addition to playing in the band Arc in Round, and in a synthesizer and harp duo with harpist Mary Lattimore, plays solo on a mixture of electronics and textural guitar. Equal parts hypnotic and abrasive, he has previously shared the stage with Hans-Joakim Roedelius, Phil Niblock, White Magic and more.Mary Lattimore is a harpist from North Carolina currently living in Philly. She has appeared on records and on the stage with great talents such as Thurston Moore, Meg Baird, Kurt Vile, Fursaxa, Ed Askew, and Jarvis Cocker. She has played the Concert Grand Lyon and Healy harp since she was 11. She and Jeff play sets of spacey ambient improvisations. Her first solo record is out now on Desire Path Recordings.
