Waxahatchee Ivy Tripp Jordan Almond
Welcome to what might be our first band/album flavor collaboration.
Katie Crutchfield, the Alabama-born, West Philadelphia musician and songwriter who fronts rock super-group Waxahatchee, has held a place in Little Baby’s hearts for quite a while now. She played at the opening of World Headquarters on Frankford Avenue back in 2012. While opening our Cedar Park Embassy in West Philadelphia, Waxahatchee was in a basement only a few blocks away recording 2013’s internationally acclaimed sophomore release, Cerulean Salt. Now, Waxahatchee is releasing their third full-length, Ivy Tripp, April 7th on Merge Records with a limited edition ice cream flavor: Waxahatchee Ivy Tripp Jordan Almond.
Jordan almonds are those little pastel-colored candy-covered almonds you might find in your easter basket or at a wedding reception. Why Jordan almonds? Because that’s the flavor Katie asked us to make. Jordan almonds are a little bitter, a little sweet and once you start eating them you can’t stop. We think that fits Waxahatchee’s aesthetic perfectly.
Waxahatchee Ivy Tripp Jordan Almond starts with our super premium dairy base, with natural almond butter and crushed Jordan almonds swirled in. It will be available at the concessions at Union Transfer during Waxahatchee’s show next Wednesday April 8th and at both our World Headquarters and Cedar Park Embassy locations starting Friday April 10th while supplies last.
